On May 2, 2024, around 5:45 a.m., authorities in Lake Elsinore responded to a tragic single-vehicle traffic collision that resulted in the death of the driver. The incident occurred on Lake Street east of Mountain Avenue in the city of Lake Elsinore.
According to reports, Cal Fire was on the scene and made efforts to save the driver's life but, unfortunately, they had to pronounce the driver deceased on-site. The driver's identity is being withheld until the next of kin is notified.
The investigation into the fatal collision has been taken over by the Lake Elsinore Station’s Traffic Unit. Authorities are urging anyone who may have witnessed the incident to come forward with information. Deputy S.
