Alzheimer’s Coachella Valley will host an open house and fundraising event on October 29, 2025, at the Berger Foundation Charitable Center in Palm Desert. The event aims to support individuals affected by cognitive impairment and to maintain free programs for families in the area.

The gathering is presented by Desert Oasis Healthcare as part of its 45th anniversary celebration. Community members are invited to attend from 5:30 to 8:30 p.m., with complimentary valet parking and light fare provided by local partners.

A highlight of the evening will be the presentation of the 4th Annual Chuck Olsen Caregiver Award to Edwina Dirk, RN, BSN. The event will also feature live music performed by Phillip Pollerana and will be hosted by Patrick Evans.

Organizers have set a fundraising goal of $200,000 to ensure continued support for Alzheimer’s Coachella Valley’s free services. Donations can be made online at www.cvalzheimers.org or during the open house. A donor has pledged to match the first $10,000 raised.

Those interested in attending are asked to RSVP by October 17 via email or phone.
