Arrest made in Homeland homicide; suspect booked into detention center

On October 8, 2025, deputies from the Perris Station responded to a report of a possible deceased person near Creag Avenue and Seaview Drive in the unincorporated community of Homeland, Riverside County. Upon arrival, deputies found an adult male with an apparent gunshot wound and clear signs of death. The Riverside County Sheriff’s Central Homicide Unit was notified and took over the investigation.

The victim was identified as Bryan Rangel Razo, a 20-year-old resident of Homeland. Investigators determined that Jose Alonso Andrade, a 32-year-old also from Homeland, was the sole suspect in the case. Andrade was located in Homeland and arrested without incident. The arrest was made with the help of the Riverside County Sheriff’s Computer and Technology Crime High-Tech Response Team (C.A.T.C.H.) and the Riverside County District Attorney’s Gang Impact Team. Andrade was booked into the Cois Byrd Detention Center on a murder charge.
