The Augustine Band of Cahuilla Indians is set to host an Earth Day celebration at Temalpakh Farm, their certified organic farm and market, on April 4th. The event promises educational activities and demonstrations for all ages.

The day will commence with a private opening ceremony at 9:00 am for elected officials, tribal leaders, and dignitaries. Following this, from 10:00 am to 12:30 pm, the farm will welcome field trips for fifth-grade students and their teachers. Schools interested in participating must make reservations by March 7th by contacting Adrienne Edmondson at [email protected].

The public is invited to join the festivities from 12:30 pm to 3:00 pm. Attendees can visit educational booths covering environmental topics such as renewable energy, waste management, and desert animals. There will also be interactive activities, games, and crafts designed for children and families.

Temalpakh Farm exemplifies the Augustine Band’s dedication to sustainable agriculture and environmental care. This Earth Day event offers a chance for the community to learn about these initiatives.

Located near the San Jacinto Mountains, three miles east of PGA West, the reservation includes Temalpakh Farm Market along with Augustine Casino, the Augustine Gaming Commission, and a solar field managed by the tribal entity.
