Augustine Casino names Rivera and Villanueva as top employees for 2024

Augustine Casino has announced its 2024 Team Member and Leader of the Year. Viviana Rivera, Lead Food Server, and Jaime Villanueva, Purchasing Manager, were recognized at the casino’s annual awards dinner on May 15, 2025.

The casino annually honors a team member and leader who have shown dedication, service, teamwork, communication skills, and alignment with Augustine’s vision for the benefit of the Tribe, casino, guests, and team members.

Viviana Rivera started her career with Augustine in 2014 as a busser and transitioned to a food server in 2020. In 2024, she was promoted to lead server due to her commitment to her role. “Viviana truly embodies the guest service standards Augustine is known for,” said Matt Noe, food & beverage director. “It’s easy to see why she’s consistently a guest favorite in Café 54.”

Jaime Villanueva joined Augustine Casino in 2017 as a junior buyer and became purchasing manager in 2024. “Jaime consistently demonstrates exceptional leadership and has made a significant impact on his team,” said Ruben Delatorre, director of procurement. “He inspires and motivates others while being a great team player and leading by example.” Mark Mohrmann, general manager added: “Viviana and Jaime both embody the values of service, dedication and teamwork that define our company culture.”

Located three miles east of PGA West at Avenue 54 in Coachella, the Augustine Band of Cahuilla Indians Reservation hosts Augustine Casino which opened in 2002. It caters exclusively to Coachella Valley locals offering dining experiences at Café 54 and Menyikish Grill. More information can be found by calling or visiting their website.
