Today, Congressman Ken Calvert reintroduced a bill, H.R. 1225, aimed at establishing a unique ZIP code for Eastvale. Congresswoman Norma Torres is co-leading the legislation.

“The lack of a unique ZIP code that properly identifies the City of Eastvale continues to negatively impact residents and businesses,” said Congressman Calvert. He added that despite repeated requests from city leaders and residents, the United States Postal Service has not taken action. “It shouldn’t take an Act of Congress for a government agency to do the right thing,” he stated.

Congresswoman Torres highlighted the difficulties faced by Eastvale due to its division between two ZIP codes. “This bill marks a major milestone in our efforts to secure a single, unique ZIP code for this fast-growing city,” she said. She expressed her commitment alongside Congressman Calvert to pass the bill in the House of Representatives.

Eastvale Mayor Mike McMinn emphasized the challenges posed by shared ZIP codes, including mail delivery issues and emergency response delays during events like California fires. “This bill is a crucial step toward securing an independent ZIP code for Eastvale,” he noted.

Currently, Eastvale shares ZIP codes 91752 with Jurupa Valley and 92880. Incorporated in 2010, Eastvale has around 70,000 residents.
