Deputy Slover emphasized this message, stating, “Don’t put yourself and others on the road at risk by driving impaired. If you’re planning to celebrate with a drink or two, leave your keys at home and designate a sober driver.”
In addition to alcohol, the Sheriff’s Office also highlighted the importance of recognizing the potential impairments caused by substances such as marijuana, prescription medications, or over-the-counter drugs. It is essential for individuals to educate themselves on how these substances can impact their ability to drive safely.
