Cherry Valley man dies after incident on Cherry Valley Blvd in Calimesa

A 70-year-old man from Cherry Valley, identified as Roy Bolyarde, died on the morning of October 8, 2025, following an incident on Cherry Valley Boulevard in Calimesa. According to information released by the Riverside County Coroner’s Office, Bolyarde sustained injuries at approximately 6:30 a.m. on the eastbound side of Cherry Valley Boulevard, about 1,348 feet east of Calimesa Boulevard.

The coroner’s report states that Bolyarde was pronounced dead at 6:46 a.m. in the center divider of Cherry Valley Boulevard, roughly 1,600 feet east of Calimesa Boulevard. The Riverside Sheriff’s Office – Cabazon is handling the investigation into the circumstances surrounding his death.

Authorities have notified Bolyarde’s next of kin. Further details regarding the cause or manner of death were not provided in the initial release. The coroner’s office has directed all inquiries to the investigating agency.
