Two well-known bands, Chicago and Styx, will perform at Acrisure Arena in Palm Desert, California on September 2, 2026. This event is part of their first co-headlining effort, called “The Windy Cities Tour – All The Hits…Your Kind of Tour,” which brings together two groups that both started their careers in Chicago.

Presale tickets for the concert will be available starting Tuesday, December 2 at 10am local time through exclusive band presales and VIP packages. Mastercard and Citi cardholders in the U.S. will also have early access to tickets beginning December 2 at 10am and noon respectively. General ticket sales open Friday, December 5 at 10am local time via Ticketmaster.

Acrisure Arena is offering fans the option to upgrade their experience by purchasing access to The Compound, an outdoor VIP space near the stage with a full-service bar, buffet, fire pits, mini golf, bocce ball, and other amenities.

Chicago’s trumpeter Lee Loughnane commented on the tour: “We are excited about the summer tour. Chicago has never toured with Styx before so it’s going to be a lot of fun, we’re looking forward to it.”

Styx singer and guitarist Tommy Shaw reflected on his career: “In my early days of live performing I had several mentors who were kind enough to let me join in and play with them despite not being able to read charts. Rod Henley, Ricky Parsons, Bobby and Larry Moore, Eddie Wohlford, Wimpy Jones, Country Boy Eddie and others gave me a shot. And I am thankful for that. By the time Chicago released their first album, I had enough experience to begin learning their amazing music on my own. Now, the idea of Styx touring with Chicago is a major thrill all on its own. We can’t wait to spend the summer with them!”

Chicago has sold over 100 million albums globally and was inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame. The group features original members Robert Lamm (keyboards/vocals), Lee Loughnane (trumpet/vocals), James Pankow (trombone), along with Ray Herrmann (sax/flute), Wally Reyes Jr. (drums), Neil Donell (vocals), Ramon Yslas (percussion), Tony Obrohta (guitar) and Eric Baines (bass/vocals). In addition to multiple awards from organizations such as The Recording Academy and Billboard Magazine recognitions for chart performance in American music history, they have performed annually since forming nearly six decades ago.

Styx continues its tradition of producing new material with “CIRCLING FROM ABOVE,” its eighteenth studio album featuring contributions from all seven current members: James “JY” Young (guitar/vocals), Tommy Shaw (guitar/vocals), Chuck Panozzo (bass), Todd Sucherman (drums), Lawrence Gowan (keyboard/vocals), Will Evankovich (guitar/vocals) and Terry Gowan (bass). Their setlists span five decades of songs including popular tracks like “The Grand Illusion,” “Blue Collar Man,” “Lady,” “Miss America,” “Man in the Wilderness,” “Crystal Ball,” “Come Sail Away” and “Renegade.”

This stop at Acrisure Arena is one date among many nationwide venues included on “The Windy Cities Tour.”
