The City of Rancho Mirage, in a recent announcement via Facebook, divulged that they will be partnering with Desert Theatricals to present the 2024 Broadway Series, which is set to commence in March and culminate in May. This series of theatrical productions is part of the city’s commitment to promote local arts and culture.
Desert Theatricals’ website outlines that the upcoming series will be hosted at the City of Rancho Mirage’s Amphitheater. The series boasts an impressive lineup, featuring three Broadway musical productions: “Fiddler on the Roof”, running from March 8 through March 10; “Damn Yankees” from April 5 to April 7; and “Oklahoma” performing on May 3, 4 and 5.
The city’s Facebook post reveals that residents of Rancho Mirage will benefit from a notable perk: they are eligible for a 15% discount on general admission if their tickets are purchased at the Rancho Mirage Library and Observatory. To take advantage of this deal for “Fiddler on the Roof”, tickets must be secured by March 1, 2024; for “Damn Yankees”, no later than April 1, 2024; and for “Oklahoma”, by May 1, 2024.
According to information available on the City of Rancho Mirage’s website, Desert Theatricals’ Broadway productions have become a staple at the amphitheater.
Further attesting to their accomplishments, Desert Theatricals’ revealed via a Facebook post that they have garnered an astounding count of forty-two nominations for the prestigious 2023 Broadway Awards Palm Springs Awards. These nominations are inclusive of their esteemed productions such as ‘South Pacific’, ‘Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat’, and ‘Beauty and Beast’.
Lastly, it is also mentioned on City of Rancho Mirage’s website that their outdoor theater, celebrated for its remarkable acoustics, can accommodate up to a thousand guests at a time.
