Coachella man dies after incident on train tracks; sheriff investigates

A 43-year-old man from Coachella, identified as Andrew Martinez, died early Monday morning after an incident on the train tracks in Coachella. According to information released by the Riverside County Coroner’s Office, Martinez sustained fatal injuries at approximately 6:04 a.m. on November 24, 2025. He was pronounced dead at the scene at around 6:30 a.m.

The location of both the injury and death was listed as train tracks in Coachella. The Riverside County Sheriff’s Office-Thermal is leading the investigation into the circumstances surrounding his death.

Authorities have notified next of kin. The coroner’s office directed all further inquiries to the investigating agency.
