Coachella plans Independence Day celebration with extended hours

The City of Coachella is set to host its annual Independence Day Celebration at Bagdouma Park this Thursday, July 3rd. The event will run from 6:30 to 10 p.m., starting half an hour later than usual but extending the festivities by an additional 30 minutes.

This family-friendly event is free and offers a variety of attractions, including carnival games and rides, food trucks, a pie-eating contest, and a live DJ. The evening will conclude with a fireworks display at 9:30 p.m.

The City of Coachella was incorporated in 1946. It covers a 29-square-mile area and has approximately 41,941 residents. The city is located in eastern Riverside County within the Coachella Valley region of Southern California. It lies about 97 miles north of the U.S.-Mexico border and roughly two hours from Los Angeles.
