The Coachella Valley Firebirds will begin their fourth season on Friday, October 10, with a home game against the San Diego Gulls at Acrisure Arena. The team has announced an Opening Day Fan Fest to start at 5:30 p.m., offering fans a range of activities before the game.

According to the organization, the pre-game event will feature new happy hour specials in The Oasis, including $5 Michelob Ultra and Modelo draft beers and $10 wine selections. There will also be samples of Buzzbox’s latest ready-to-drink beverages, signature cocktails such as the Fuego Margarita, and non-alcoholic options.

Food offerings for the evening include Dirty Tanner Fries from Tanner’s Prime Burgers as a highlighted value option. Turn Tables Grill will introduce Gabino’s Creperie with an exclusive crepe called “The Fuego,” which contains buffalo chicken, pepper jack cheese, jalapeno, tomato, onion, lettuce, and ranch. Fans can also try complimentary samples of various food items that will be available during the season.

Live entertainment is planned with a band performing outdoors in The Oasis and a DJ at Turn Tables Grill. Activities for children include free games such as face painting, glitter tattoos, balloon animals, inflatable puck shoot games, and an inflatable hockey rink for ball hockey. Sponsor activations will include interactive booths from California Bank and Trust and Chavez Jessup.

A team store featuring new Firebirds merchandise—including Los Firebirds items—will have specials on jerseys and customization services available on opening day. The team mascot Fuego is scheduled for photo opportunities near the Indian Wells Stage from 5:30 to 6:00 p.m.

John Page, SVP of Acrisure Arena and the Coachella Valley Firebirds said: “We are fired up for the return of hockey and look forward to welcoming back Firebirds fans for another exciting season. We are ready to host the best fans in the League and see how our fan-centric changes to our parking and food and beverage program impact their gameday experience.”

All attendees entering Acrisure Arena will receive a commemorative rally towel. Tickets are currently available online through the team’s website. Fans are encouraged to purchase parking in advance via the ParkWhiz app to secure a $20 rate; prices increase on game day.

The organization has released limited premium seating options this year in several club areas within Acrisure Arena. These offer access to VIP amenities and inclusive food options.

This season introduces enhancements aimed at improving accessibility and convenience for fans—such as advance-purchase parking savings, more affordable food choices labeled as Pocket-Friendly Picks, earlier weekday start times, and pregame happy hour specials at The Oasis.
