Coachella Valley Firebirds sign Landon McCallum to one-year AHL deal

The Coachella Valley Firebirds have announced the re-signing of forward Landon McCallum to a one-year contract for the 2025-26 American Hockey League (AHL) season.

McCallum, 21, returns to the Firebirds after playing with their ECHL affiliate, the Kansas City Mavericks. Last season, he recorded 39 points, including 15 goals and 24 assists, over 65 games. He also contributed one goal and five assists in 15 postseason games as the Mavericks reached the Western Conference Finals.

Before starting his professional career, McCallum played four seasons with the Sudbury Wolves in the Ontario Hockey League. During that time, he registered 163 points in 246 games, with 49 goals and 104 assists.

The Firebirds’ current list of signed players includes Ian McKinnon (two-year contract), Gustav Olofsson (two-year contract), Jack LaFontaine (one-year contract), Charlie Wright (one-year contract), and Landon McCallum (one-year contract).
