Coachella Valley High School Class of 2022 celebrates commencement

The Coachella Valley High School Class of 2022 celebrated commencement Wednesday at the Indian Wells Tennis Garden.

The American Legion Post 739 directed by Captain Juan Martinez presented the colors. The high school choir performed the national anthem. 

Samantha Ramos gave the valedictorian address and Valerie Becerra gave the salutatorian address. They along with the following students graduated in the top ten of their class:

  • Josselyn Naylea Ramirez Valenzuela
  • Lydia Sari Torres Rodriguez
  • Leilah Jofah Allal
  • Dania Lizbeth Perez Valenzuela
  • Mariajose Lopez-Ochoa
  • Maritza Felix-Rivera
  • Amber Arellano Huesca

Local students awarded at Riverside County Science and Engineering Fair

The Riverside County Office of Education (RCOE) has announced the winners of the 2024 Riverside County Science and Engineering Fair, which took place at the Riverside Convention Center. As per an RCOE press release, 72 students were awarded gold medals and numerous prizes and entries into state and international fairs.
