According to CVHR, the camp will be held on Tuesdays from July 15 to August 5 in Indio. Led by instructor Dana Brown, the sessions will run from 8 to 10 a.m. and will include horse safety, grooming, care, basic ground lessons, identification of breeds and gaits, themed crafts, and a riding activity on the final day. The cost is $100 per child, with limited space and scholarships available. Registration can be completed by phone at 760-574-9266 or email at horsetales@cvhorserescue.org.

In addition to equine rescue efforts, CVHR offers equine-assisted programs designed to benefit both children and adults. The organization’s operations are supported through sponsor donations and the efforts of dedicated team members and volunteers.

The organization provides various programs using horse interaction to promote growth, healing, and learning for youth, veterans, and the broader community. Programs include Horsinalities, which teaches leadership and social skills; Pony Club and Kids Camp for children to learn basic horse care and riding; Horse Tales Literacy that combines reading with creative activities; as well as veteran-focused initiatives like the Horsinalities Boot Camp, music therapy sessions, and bonding retreats. CVHR also offers riding lessons for all ages.
