The Coachella Valley Journalism Foundation has announced the upcoming 2026 Media Hall of Fame luncheon, which will recognize five individuals for their significant contributions to media in the region. The event is scheduled for February 24, 2026, at the Omni Rancho Las Palmas Resort & Spa in Rancho Mirage.

This year’s inductees include Jimmy Boegle, editor and publisher of the Coachella Valley Independent; Larry Bohannan, golf writer for The Desert Sun; Lina Robles, co-host of El Show del Greñas; and Ric and Rozene Supple, radio station owners and philanthropists who will be honored posthumously.

“Join us for a special luncheon as we induct new members into the Coachella Valley Media Hall of Fame and honor several working journalists in our community!” organizers stated.

Each year, three to five individuals are inducted into the Hall of Fame to acknowledge their dedication to journalism and their influence on the local community. Inductees may come from various sectors within media, including journalism, public relations, marketing communications, and related fields.

In addition to honoring these figures, awards such as Journalist of the Year and Rising Star will also be presented during the event. Tickets are currently available for purchase. Those interested in sponsorship opportunities can contact [email protected].

The ceremony aims to celebrate both longstanding achievements and emerging talent within Coachella Valley’s media landscape.
