The Coachella Valley Public Cemetery District (CVPCD) is reaching out to the public to gather feedback on its newly proposed 10-Year Cemetery Master Plan. This document is intended to guide the District’s future development and ensure long-term sustainability, covering aspects such as burial capacity, infrastructure needs, community services, and financial stability.

“This plan represents a thoughtful roadmap for the future of the cemetery,” said Board Chair, Ernesto Rosales. “Now we want to hear from the community we serve. Public feedback is a critical part of shaping the final version.”

The public can review the draft plan online on the District’s homepage at CVPCD.org, and the comment period remains open until May 1, 2025. Feedback can be submitted through email, mail, or in-person submissions at the cemetery’s front office.

All comments will be reviewed as the District prepares the final plan, which will be presented to the Board of Trustees during a public meeting on May 9, 2025.

For further details, community members can contact the District via email or by visiting www.cvpcd.org.

The Coachella Valley Public Cemetery District, established in 1927, serves the cemetery needs of Riverside County’s residents, covering various cities and unincorporated areas. The District encompasses sixty acres, of which twenty-nine are designated for interment.
