College of the Desert announces spring career fair for employers seeking new hires

The College of the Desert Career and Workforce Solutions Center will hold its CareerFest 2026: Spring Career/Internship Fair on March 4, 2026. The event is scheduled from 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. at the Multi-Agency Library located at 43500 Monterey Avenue, Palm Desert, California.

Employers interested in participating can set up between 9:00 a.m. and 9:45 a.m. The fair provides an opportunity for employers to meet and hire candidates for open positions, with access to the diverse student population of College of the Desert.

The participation fee is $125, which covers lunch, presentation space, and entry into a swag raffle. Parking passes and additional details will be provided one week prior to the event. Employers are encouraged to register through Handshake by using the “Sign Up” tab on its website.

Internships are also highlighted as part of this initiative. Unpaid internship opportunities should be posted on Handshake before COD’s 12-week term starts on February 23rd. Employers must complete both an Internship Request Form and an Affiliation Agreement if they have not done so previously. Paid internships may begin at any time during the academic term.
