Juan Jr. Mejia Calvillo, a 20-year-old resident of Desert Hot Springs, died on December 5, 2025. The incident occurred on the roadway in front of 15525 Mountain View Road in Desert Hot Springs. According to the information provided by the Riverside County Coroner’s Office, both the injury and death took place at this location between 6:15 p.m. and 6:31 p.m.

The California Highway Patrol – Indio is leading the investigation into the circumstances surrounding Mejia Calvillo’s death. The coroner’s report indicates that next of kin have been notified.

Officials have requested that all inquiries regarding this case be directed to the investigating agency.
