Death of Las Vegas man in Perris under investigation by Riverside Sheriff’s Office

A 76-year-old man from Las Vegas, Nevada, identified as Richard Gonzales, died on October 11, 2025. According to information released by the Riverside County Coroner’s Office, Gonzales was injured at approximately 11:36 a.m. in an open field near the coordinates 33.75900, -117.21152 in Perris, California. He was pronounced dead at the same location at 11:49 a.m.

The Riverside Sheriff’s Office in Perris is leading the investigation into the incident. The case number for the investigation is PE25284042. The coroner’s office confirmed that Gonzales’s next of kin have been notified.

Authorities have not released additional details regarding the circumstances of Gonzales’s death. Inquiries are being directed to the investigating agency.
