Maria Moreno De Hernandez, a 58-year-old resident of Mecca, California, died on November 24, 2025. The Riverside County Coroner’s Office reported that the incident occurred on the roadway at 70th Avenue, approximately 418 feet west of Garfield Street in Thermal, California.

According to official records, Moreno De Hernandez sustained her injuries at about 5:52 a.m. and was pronounced dead less than an hour later at 6:36 a.m. The California Highway Patrol – Indio is conducting the investigation into the circumstances surrounding her death.

The next of kin have been notified. For further information regarding this case, inquiries are directed to the investigating agency.
