Death of Patricia Garner investigated by Murrieta Police Department

Patricia Garner, an 88-year-old resident of Murrieta, died on August 7, 2025. The Riverside County Coroner’s office reported that Garner sustained injuries at the intersection of Skyview Ridge and California Oaks Road in Murrieta at approximately 4:34 p.m. She was transported to Inland Valley Medical Center in Wildomar, where she was pronounced dead at 5:56 p.m.

The Murrieta Police Department is handling the investigation under case number MR25-4036. The coroner confirmed that Garner’s next of kin has been notified.

“For additional information please refer to investigating agency,” stated the release from county officials.

No further details about the circumstances surrounding the incident have been made public.
