Fatal motorcycle crash under investigation in Lake Elsinore

Deputies from the Lake Elsinore Sheriff’s Station responded to a serious traffic collision involving a motorcycle at around 1:09 a.m. on September 12, 2025. The incident occurred near Canyon Hills Road and Sage Lane in Lake Elsinore.

When deputies arrived, they found the motorcyclist unresponsive in the roadway and began lifesaving efforts until paramedics from Cal Fire arrived. Despite continued attempts by emergency personnel, the rider was pronounced dead at the scene.

The Lake Elsinore Station’s Traffic Team has taken over the investigation. Authorities are considering alcohol as a possible factor in the crash. The identity of the deceased is being withheld until next of kin can be notified.

Officials state that this remains an ongoing investigation and have not released further details. Anyone who witnessed the collision is asked to contact Deputy Sheehan at 951–245–3000 or Riverside Sheriff’s Dispatch at 951–776–1099.
