The Coachella Valley Firebirds secured their first victory of the 2024-25 season with a narrow 6-5 win against the San Diego Gulls on Friday night. The highlight of the game was Cale Fleury’s natural hat trick, where he scored three consecutive goals. Additionally, goaltender Nikke Kokko celebrated his first AHL win.

Despite San Diego’s effort to close the gap by scoring four goals in the third period, the Firebirds maintained their lead and clinched the win.

The Firebirds are set to return home this week to face the Ontario Reign on Friday, October 25th. The game will coincide with Dia De Los Muertos celebrations presented by Estrella Jalisco. Attendees can look forward to live music, pre-game activities, photo opportunities, food and beverage specials, and a themed scarf giveaway.

Tickets for individual games as well as full season, half season, and 9-game Pick ‘Em Plan packages are currently available for purchase. Full season ticket holders will also have access to the 2025 AHL All-Star Classic presented by Spotlight 29 along with other exclusive events and benefits.
