The Firebirds secured a commanding 8-2 victory over the Calgary Wranglers on Wednesday night, maintaining their lead in the Pacific Division. This win brought their season points to 70.

A standout performance saw the Firebirds set a franchise record by scoring seven goals in the second period alone. Daniel Sprong was instrumental with a natural hat trick, contributing significantly to Coachella Valley’s two-game sweep of the Wranglers. Victor Ostman, the team’s goaltender, achieved his first AHL victory with 14 saves. Ian McKinnon also made an impact by recording his first career multi-goal game.

The Firebirds will host three home games in March, featuring themes such as St. Patrick’s Day and Fuego’s Birthday, along with special promotions like $5 Beer Nights. Fans can purchase tickets through Ticketmaster.
