The Firebirds secured a victory over the Texas Stars on Saturday night at the H-E-B Center, marking their second consecutive overtime win with a final score of 3-2. Daniel Sprong scored the decisive goal in overtime, helping the team achieve their 24th win this season. Philipp Grubauer made his debut for Coachella Valley as goaltender, stopping 27 out of 29 shots from the Texas Stars.
The Firebirds are scheduled to return to action after the All-Star break on Friday, February 7th, against the Gulls in San Diego, with the game set to start at 7 pm PT.
