The Coachella Valley Firebirds announced on Apr. 26 that they will play the Ontario Reign in the second round of the 2026 Calder Cup Playoffs after defeating the Bakersfield Condors in game three by a score of 6-2.
This matchup marks another step for the Firebirds, who have recorded deep playoff runs and division titles in their early seasons, according to the official website. The best-of-five series will begin Wednesday night at Toyota Arena in Ontario, California, with subsequent games alternating between Toyota Arena and Acrisure Arena depending on how many games are needed.
Game one is scheduled for Wednesday, April 29 at Toyota Arena at 7:00 p.m., followed by game two on Friday, May 1 at the same venue. The series then moves to Acrisure Arena for game three on Tuesday, May 5. If necessary, game four will be held Thursday, May 7 at Acrisure Arena and a potential deciding fifth game would take place Saturday, May 9 back at Toyota Arena.
The Firebirds said more information about Away Game Watch Parties around Coachella Valley will be shared early this week. Tickets for home games are now available online or can be purchased without online fees at the Ticketmaster Box Office located at Acrisure Arena. The box office will be open Friday, May 1 and Saturday, May 2 from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m.
As reported by the official website, the Firebirds serve as the American Hockey League affiliate of the National Hockey League’s Seattle Kraken and bring professional hockey to the Coachella Valley region.
