Firebirds triumph over Eagles with strong second-period performance

The Firebirds secured a victory over the Colorado Eagles on Wednesday night with a final score of 3-2. The team was led by Lleyton Roed, Jagger Firkus, and John Hayden, who each scored in the second period. This win marks the Firebirds’ fourth victory of the season. Goaltender Nikke Kokko contributed to the win with 21 saves on 23 shots, maintaining his unbeaten record for the year at 3-0.

Looking ahead, the Firebirds will conclude their series of road games this Friday against the Ontario Reign at Toyota Arena, with puck drop scheduled for 7 p.m. PT.

Upon returning home, the Firebirds will host Military Appreciation Night against the Ontario Reign on Sunday, November 10th. The event is presented by Spotlight 29 Casino and commemorates the 80th anniversary of World War II. Fans are encouraged to purchase tickets through Ticketmaster for this special occasion, which begins at 3 p.m. PT.
