First Imperial Credit Union has announced plans to open a new branch in La Quinta, marking its expansion into the Coachella Valley. This move signifies a commitment to building lasting relationships with members throughout the region.

The new branch will be located at 79825 Highway 111, Suite B-102 (Komar Desert Center) in La Quinta. It aims to serve individuals, families, and businesses by offering tailored financial services. These include checking and savings accounts, certificates of deposit, auto financing, real estate loans, credit cards, and personal loans. Additionally, the credit union provides online banking services for easy account access.

Fidel Gonzalez, President/CEO of First Imperial Credit Union, stated: “Our wide range of financial solutions will be an excellent addition to the valuable resources offered to the Coachella Valley community.” He added that their goal is not only to provide financial services but also to contribute positively through partnerships with local organizations and financial literacy programs.

This 1,882 square foot branch is the first outside of Imperial County where the credit union currently operates four branches. Board Chairman Victor Torres commented: “This strategic decision reflects our commitment to better serve our growing member base in the region. We are excited to have a presence in Coachella Valley and continue with our dedication and vision for future growth.”
