Frontier Airlines has announced its return to Palm Springs International Airport (PSP) with new nonstop service to Denver International Airport (DEN) and San Francisco International Airport (SFO) starting December 12. The airline will operate both routes three times per week, offering introductory fares as low as $19.

“We are delighted to make our return to Palm Springs, the latest in our rapid growth in the great state of California,” said Josh Flyr, vice president of network and operations design at Frontier Airlines. “Whether consumers are looking to travel to the Bay Area, the Rocky Mountains, or beyond, it is our privilege to offer them convenient and affordable travel options at PSP.”

With this addition, Frontier will serve nine markets in California and continues its position as the fastest-growing intrastate carrier.

“We’re excited to welcome Frontier Airlines back to PSP, adding to the growing number of carriers and travel options at our airport,” said Harry Barrett Jr., executive director of aviation at Palm Springs International Airport. “With this new service, travelers have more choices than ever before, enhancing connectivity from Palm Springs to major destinations and beyond.”

The new service details are as follows:

– **San Francisco (SFO)**: Service starts on December 12, 2024; operates three times a week with an introductory fare of $19.

Frontier Airlines has recently introduced changes under ‘The New Frontier,’ aiming for greater transparency through upfront pricing and flexible options tailored to different customer needs. The airline now offers UpFront Plus seating with extra legroom and guaranteed empty middle seats in the first two rows.

The frequent flyer program FRONTIER Miles allows customers to earn miles quickly based on dollars spent. Elite status members receive additional perks such as priority boarding and free seat selection.

Promotional fares must be purchased by October 7, 2024. They are valid for nonstop travel between December 12, 2024, and February 28, 2025, excluding blackout dates.

Frontier Airlines operates out of Denver and has a fleet of A320 family aircraft known for fuel efficiency. Palm Springs International Airport served over 3.2 million passengers in 2023 and offers various nonstop routes across North America.
