The California Highway Patrol – San Gorgonio is investigating the death of George Letts, a 75-year-old resident of Oro Valley, Arizona. Mr. Letts was found deceased on June 3, 2025, at approximately 6:30 AM on a dirt embankment eastbound on Interstate 10, about 2400 feet east of Hargrave Street in Banning, California.
The incident leading to his death occurred earlier that morning at around 6:09 AM at a nearby location along the same embankment. The case has been assigned investigation number 9655-2025-00915 by the authorities.
