Guide Dogs of the Desert will hold its annual Jingle Paws event on Saturday, December 13, 2025, at Vine Ave. and W. Chino Drive in Palm Springs, California. The event is open to families and community members who are encouraged to participate in a 5K run or walk dressed in Santa suits, along with their pets.

Jingle Paws, previously known as Santa Paws, features vendor booths, awards for participants, children’s activities including an Elf Dash at 10:00 a.m., and opportunities for holiday-themed photos. The main 5K run/walk begins at 9:00 a.m.

“Jingle Paws is all about community, compassion, and connection,” said Robert Maher, Executive Director of Guide Dogs of the Desert. “It’s a chance to come together, celebrate the holidays, and support the life-changing work of providing guide dogs to those who need them.”

Teams from neighborhoods, businesses, and local organizations are invited to take part in the event as a way to bond during the holiday season while supporting Guide Dogs of the Desert.

All proceeds from Jingle Paws will go toward programs that help individuals who are blind or visually impaired by enhancing their mobility and independence through guide dog partnerships.

Guide Dogs of the Desert was founded in 1972. The organization provides highly trained guide dogs at no cost to people who are blind or visually impaired.
