Hemet woman dies after incident near East Florida Avenue and Columbia Street

Debra Dean, a 71-year-old resident of Hemet, California, died on September 20, 2025. The Riverside County Coroner’s Office reported that the incident leading to her death occurred at approximately 11:10 p.m. at the intersection of East Florida Avenue and Columbia Street in Hemet. Dean was transported to Hemet Global Medical Center, located at 1117 East Devonshire Avenue, where she was pronounced dead at 11:53 p.m.

The California Highway Patrol – San Gorgonio is investigating the circumstances surrounding the incident under investigation number 250920IC0196. Authorities have notified Dean’s next of kin.

The coroner’s office advised that all inquiries regarding this case should be directed to the investigating agency.
