The Palm Springs Aerial Tramway is set to host its annual holiday choir season starting December 4 at the Mountain Station. This event continues a longstanding tradition of featuring high school choirs performing holiday music. The performances will be held on select dates through December 15.
For the 2024 season, the Tramway has scheduled a variety of choirs from local high schools. The lineup includes Martin Luther King High School Choir on December 4, La Quinta High School Chamber Singers on December 5, and Palm Springs High School Choir along with a String Quartette on December 8. Other performances include Cathedral City High School Choirs on December 11, Coachella Valley High School Concert Choir on December 12, and Encore High School for the Arts Madrigals on December 15.
Showtimes are set for 5:00 p.m. and 6:30 p.m., included with regular tram admission. Performances will take place at the Pines Café Stage where food and beverages can be purchased from Pines Café or Lookout Lounge. An exception is made for the December 8 performance, which will occur outside on the Desert View Terrace at 5:30 p.m., coinciding with a tree lighting ceremony, followed by an indoor performance at 7:30 p.m.
