Indio man dies after incident on railroad tracks

Jose F. Arroyo, a 49-year-old resident of Indio, California, died on August 12, 2025. According to the Riverside County Coroner’s office, Arroyo was fatally injured at approximately 1:01 a.m. on the railroad tracks in the 81000 block of Indio Boulevard in Indio. He was pronounced dead at the scene just over an hour later, at 2:02 a.m.

The Indio Police Department is handling the investigation into Arroyo’s death. The next of kin has been notified.

“For additional information please refer to investigating agency,” according to officials from the Riverside County Coroner’s office.

No further details about the circumstances surrounding Arroyo’s death have been released at this time.
