The Inland Empire Small Business Development Center (SBDC) has announced a series of free workshops for entrepreneurs looking to expand their business skills in May 2025. The lineup includes diverse courses catering to various aspects of business management and development.

The workshops cover an array of topics, starting with “Sell Your Business with Confidence” on May 7, designed to instruct participants on how to effectively value and prepare their businesses for sale. On May 8, “Certification 101” will take place as a webinar to guide attendees through the business certification process.

On May 13, two separate in-person sessions are scheduled: “Leadership & Team Building for Small Business Owners,” aiming to enhance leadership skills, and “Cómo Empezar un Pequeño Negocio,” offered in Spanish, which will provide advice on starting a business for Spanish-speaking entrepreneurs.

The “Bookkeeping Bootcamp,” a two-part series beginning May 14, will offer foundational bookkeeping skills. The same day will see “Master Social Media: A Guide for All Levels,” focusing on brand building through social media.

Funding options will be the focus of “Access to Capital” on May 15, while “Marketing Secrets Unlocked” on May 20 will provide strategies for customer attraction and retention. A second session of “Access to Capital: For All Levels” is scheduled for the afternoon of May 20, providing more in-depth information on funding strategies.

Government contracting will be discussed in “Contracting Over Lunch: Conversations That Matter,” a webinar on May 22. Aspiring restaurateurs can attend the “Restaurant Startup: Recipe for Launching Your Own Restaurant” on May 28 in Upland.

Finally, the “Elevate Your Business” four-part series, also beginning May 28, will cover business foundation building and growth strategies.

According to the Inland Empire SBDC, these workshops are made available at no cost due to the support of partners and sponsors.
