Investigation launched after man’s death in Banning area

Deputies from the Cabazon Sheriff’s Station were dispatched on Wednesday, June 25, 2025, at 10:50 p.m. to a location on the 47000 block of Morongo Road in an unincorporated area of Banning. They were responding to reports of a deceased individual. Upon arrival, they discovered a male victim with a traumatic injury showing obvious signs of death.

The Riverside County Sheriff’s Office – Central Homicide Unit took over the investigation after securing the scene. The identity of the deceased is being withheld until next of kin have been notified. No arrests have been made, and the investigation is ongoing.
