On December 7, 2025, the IronMan La Quinta 70.3 will be held in the City of La Quinta and nearby unincorporated areas of Thermal. The bicycle portion of this year’s event will use a new route that aims to lessen its impact on the local community. The course will run from Lake Cahuilla to the SilverRock community, near Jefferson Street and Avenue 52, between 7:00 a.m. and 2:00 p.m.

Law enforcement will be present during the event to maintain safety for participants, spectators, and motorists. Organizers expect significant traffic delays and advise the public to plan ahead or avoid affected areas if possible.

Those seeking more information about the race route can visit The city of La Quinta or The Ironman websites. Additional updates are available by texting “LQ” to 888–777 or calling (760) 239–9586.

For media inquiries, contact the Media Information Bureau.

Individuals interested in joining law enforcement are encouraged to apply at joinrso.org
