Forward Jagger Firkus and defenseman Tyson Jugnauth of the Coachella Valley Firebirds have been selected to participate in the 2026 AHL All-Star Classic, according to an announcement from the American Hockey League. The event, presented by BMO, will take place on February 10-11 in Rockford, Illinois.

Firkus, who is 21 years old and in his second season with the AHL, has accumulated 34 points—14 goals and 20 assists—in as many games this year. He leads the Firebirds in scoring and is among the top ten scorers across the league. Firkus was drafted by the Seattle Kraken as their second-round pick (35th overall) in the 2022 NHL Entry Draft.

Jugnauth is also 21 and is playing his first season with Coachella Valley. He becomes only the third rookie from the Firebirds to be named to an AHL All-Star Classic roster, following Jani Nyman (2025) and Ryker Evans (2023). Jugnauth currently ranks third among all AHL defensemen for scoring this season with four goals and 21 assists over 34 games. He was named Western Hockey League defenseman of the year last season and was drafted by Seattle Kraken in the fourth round (100th overall) of the 2022 NHL Entry Draft.

With these selections, Firkus and Jugnauth become the fifth and sixth players from Coachella Valley to be named to an AHL All-Star Classic roster. Previous honorees include Jani Nyman (2025), Cale Fleury (2025), Max McCormick (2023, 2024), and Ryker Evans (2023).

The upcoming All-Star Classic will feature a skills competition on February 10 where teams from Eastern Conference divisions compete against those from Western Conference divisions across seven events. On February 11, there will be a Hall of Fame Induction Ceremony followed by a round-robin tournament among all four divisions to determine that year’s champions.
