A Jurupa Valley resident was arrested on December 13, 2025, after deputies from the Jurupa Valley Sheriff’s Station Special Enforcement and Problem-Oriented Policing Teams received information about alleged illegal firearm manufacturing and drug use at a home in the 5000 block of Steve Street.

Deputies obtained a search warrant for the residence. According to authorities, they seized 13 firearms—two of which had been reported stolen—and one short-barreled rifle. The search also uncovered 20 3D-printed lower receivers, several suppressors and large-capacity magazines, hundreds of rounds of ammunition, as well as a small amount of methamphetamine and drug paraphernalia.

The suspect, Marco Ponce de Leon, age 37 and a resident of Jurupa Valley, was taken into custody and booked into the Robert Presley Detention Center. He faces charges including being a convicted felon in possession of a firearm and ammunition, possession of an assault weapon, manufacturing an assault weapon, manufacturing unserialized firearms, along with other weapons-related and drug charges.
