Local loss prevention officers and store managers are invited to attend a Meet & Greet hosted by the Riverside County Sheriff’s Department in partnership with the La Quinta Business District Team and Special Enforcement Team, according to a May 7 announcement.

The event is scheduled for Tuesday, May 19, from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. at the Study Session Room at La Quinta City Hall, located at 78495 Calle Tampico. Organizers say the gathering aims to give local businesses an opportunity to connect directly with law enforcement and discuss important topics such as crime reporting procedures, store policies, and the renewal of trespass letters.

Attendees will have a chance to meet other loss prevention professionals and share ideas about improving safety in the business community. Lunch will be provided for guests during the event. Those interested in participating are encouraged to RSVP via email to Deputy Tyler Ebersole or CSO Rocio Foster.

This initiative is part of ongoing efforts by local authorities and organizations like the Greater Coachella Valley Chamber of Commerce—which contributes to economic vitality by promoting tourism, hosting events that connect community members, advocating for businesses through networking opportunities and educational resources across cities including La Quinta—to strengthen collaboration between businesses and public safety officials according to the official website.

The chamber also fosters partnerships among businesses, government entities, and stakeholders while offering services such as leadership training, community events, business directories, referral support, and promoting pro-business policies regionally according to the official website.
