The La Quinta Traffic Team recently executed a traffic operation in the City of La Quinta with the objective of enhancing safety at intersections. The operation specifically targeted red light violations, right-of-way infractions, stop sign violations, and other hazardous driving behaviors known to contribute to accidents.

By analyzing recent crash data, deputies were able to pinpoint intersections with higher collision rates and concentrated their enforcement efforts in these areas. Deputy Martinez commented on the results, stating: “These numbers highlight the need for continued education and enforcement. Every citation represents an opportunity to prevent a future crash and protect members of our community. Our goal is not to write tickets, but to save lives.”

The Riverside County Sheriff’s Office emphasizes its dedication to proactive traffic safety measures and urges all drivers to adhere to traffic laws, remain alert, and drive responsibly.
