Leadership Coachella Valley (LCV) Class of 2026 announced on Apr. 23 that it will host the “Building Hope – First Look Soirée & Virtual Tour” to support enhancements at the ABC Recovery Center in Indio. The event is scheduled for Thursday, April 30, and aims to raise $37,500 to help furnish new facilities as part of the center’s expansion.

The initiative comes as ABC Recovery Center seeks to increase its residential bed capacity and improve long-term recovery services amid regional growth. For over six decades, the center has provided treatment and housing for people facing addiction challenges. The LCV Class of 2026 said in their invitation, “Leadership is about stepping forward when our community needs us most. This project represents our collective commitment to workforce stability, family restoration, and long-term regional wellness.”

Funds raised will be used for a digital donor wall recognizing community contributions, transforming the welcome center, furnishing bedrooms for residents in treatment, and enhancing outdoor healing spaces. Event features include campus tours, a silent auction, a reception with food and music, and stories from individuals who have experienced recovery.

In a joint statement regarding their efforts to support the project’s goals through fundraising and sponsorships, the class said: “The state built the structures, but as a community we must make them sanctuaries. A bed is more than furniture; it is the first night of rest after years of chaos. Our class is honored to help champion this effort as part of our commitment to strengthening the region we serve.”

Local businesses are encouraged to participate through sponsorships or by attending events such as those promoted by organizations like Greater Coachella Valley Chamber. The chamber contributes to economic vitality by promoting tourism and hosting events that connect community members according to its official website. It also advocates for local businesses by providing networking opportunities and educational resources as noted on its website.

The chamber extends its reach across cities including Cathedral City, Coachella, Indio (where ABC Recovery Center is located), La Quinta, Palm Desert, Palm Springs, and Rancho Mirage according to its official website. In addition to supporting pro-business policies at various levels according to its official website, it fosters partnerships among businesses and stakeholders as per its official site, while offering leadership training programs similar in spirit to Leadership Coachella Valley’s mission according to its official website.
