The Palm Springs Public Library is actively seeking input from residents regarding an upcoming renovation project. According to Jeannie Kays, Director of the Palm Springs Public Library, “We want residents to attend these meetings and ask questions, provide feedback and express their ideas and priorities for the Library. We want to know what is important to them.”

To gather community input, an online survey will be launched on March 20th and will be available until April 12th. The survey will be accessible online and in printed form at various locations in Palm Springs. Additionally, a series of community input meetings have been scheduled where residents can share their thoughts and ideas. These meetings will include presentations about the project’s progress and discussions about next steps. Representatives from Group 4 Architecture, Research + Planning, Inc. will also be present at some of the meetings to answer questions and provide information.

Residents are invited to attend the following community input meetings:

– Thursday, March 21 at the Demuth Community Center
– Friday, March 22 at James O. Jessie Desert Highland Unity Center
– Saturday, March 23 at Ruth Hardy Park
– Wednesday, March 27 at Palm Springs Stadium
– Wednesday, March 27 at the Palm Springs Public Library

The renovation project is part of an infrastructure matching-grant awarded to the Library from the State Library, which the City accepted.
