The Coachella Valley Firebirds secured a 6-1 win over the Tucson Roadrunners at Acrisure Arena on Kraken Night, an event presented by Alaska Airlines. Andrei Loshko led the team with a three-point performance, scoring the opening goal and providing two assists. Goaltender Victor Ostman made 27 saves to help extend the Firebirds’ winning streak to three games.

The game began with Loshko’s fourth goal of the season just over four minutes into play. Lleyton Roed’s shot rebounded to Loshko, who scored from near the left circle. Early in the second period, Logan Morrison intercepted a pass and set up Jagger Firkus, who assisted Jani Nyman for his 12th goal of the season. This marked Nyman’s fourth consecutive game with a goal.

In the third period, Coachella Valley added four more goals. Morrison recorded his team-leading 24th goal at 5:53 with assists from Gustav Olofsson and Nyman. Eduard Sale scored at 9:06 after receiving passes from Loshko and Lukas Dragicevic. Tucson’s Jack Ricketts broke Ostman’s shutout bid midway through the period.

Roed celebrated his 100th AHL game by scoring into an empty net late in regulation. Loshko then assisted Olofsson for his second goal of the season at 18:09.

Ostman finished with 27 saves on 28 shots for his eleventh win this season. The Firebirds were outshot by Tucson but went perfect on penalty kills and did not convert their lone powerplay opportunity. With this result, Coachella Valley improved its record to 26-15-5-0.

Victor Ostman was named third star of the game after stopping all but one shot in his eleventh win this year. Logan Morrison earned second star honors with a goal and assist—his eighth point across three games—and Andrei Loshko received first star recognition for scoring once and assisting twice for his first career three-point outing.
