Deputies from the Lake Mathews Sheriff’s Station responded to a report of mail theft in the Lake Hills area of unincorporated Riverside on September 11, 2025. According to the Riverside County Sheriff’s Department, deputies searched the area but did not locate any suspects at that time.

The Special Enforcement Team at the Lake Mathews Station took over the investigation and identified Jessica Osburn, age 38 and a resident of Riverside, as a suspect. On September 12, 2025, Osburn was arrested without incident at her home on Fairmount Boulevard in Riverside. Authorities say evidence found during a search linked her to multiple mail thefts in Lake Mathews, Ontario, Riverside, and Lake Elsinore. Osburn was booked into the Robert Presley Detention Center for mail theft.

Deputies are seeking additional suspects connected to this case. Larin Romo, age 41 and also from Riverside, has been named as a person of interest. The Sheriff’s Department is asking anyone with information about Romo’s whereabouts to contact Deputy Casanova at (951) 272–5600 or call the department’s dispatch line at (951) 776–1099.

“This is an ongoing investigation, and no additional details are available at this time,” stated officials.
