On June 8, 2025, deputies from the Southwest Sheriff’s Station located a stolen vehicle near Glenoaks Road and Pratt Road in Temecula. The driver, identified as Brandon Edwards, 38, from Homeland, was detained during a traffic stop. A search of the vehicle revealed four firearms—comprising both long rifles and handguns—as well as a large quantity of ammunition and suppressors. Edwards was arrested for possession of the stolen vehicle and related weapons charges.

Further investigation indicated that Edwards was involved in manufacturing and selling firearms. On July 16, 2025, deputies executed a search warrant at Edwards’ property on Rocky Ridge Road in Homeland. They uncovered dozens of illegal firearms, ammunition, explosive-making materials, and homemade improvised devices under assembly. The Riverside Sheriff’s Hazardous Device Team responded to seize the devices.

Edwards faces additional charges for weapons possession, criminal threats, and bomb-making materials. He is currently held at the Cois Byrd Detention Center without bail.

Deputy Richard Schweitzer can be contacted at 951-696-3063 for information related to this case.
