Man dies after incident on I-10 Freeway near Cathedral City

Francisco Sicairos Leon, a 58-year-old resident of Desert Hot Springs, California, has been identified as the deceased in a recent incident. The Riverside County Coroner’s Office released information confirming that Mr. Sicairos Leon passed away on July 10, 2025. The time of death was recorded at 7:04 AM.

The fatal injury occurred on the same day at approximately 6:47 AM. Both the location of the injury and death were reported as being on the eastbound I-10 Freeway, about 1.9 miles west of Bob Hope Drive in Cathedral City, California.

The investigation into this incident is being conducted by the California Highway Patrol based in Indio. For further details, inquiries are directed to the investigating agency under Investigation #9630-2025-00962.

Next of kin for Mr. Sicairos Leon have been notified.
