Today, Defense Appropriations Subcommittee Chairman Ken Calvert expressed his views on the Marine Corps’ recent audit results. The Marine Corps has successfully passed an audit for the second consecutive year.

Chairman Calvert stated, “I want to congratulate Marine Corps Commandant General Eric Smith and our Marines for being accountable to American taxpayers. The Marine Corps continues to be a rare bright spot when it comes to fiscal accountability in the Department of Defense.” He emphasized that this achievement enhances the Marine Corps’ capabilities in planning, budgeting, and executing missions effectively. Furthermore, it demonstrates their dedication to readiness and operational efficiency.

Calvert added, “As Chairman of the Defense Appropriations Subcommittee, I fully expect the other branches of our military to pass a clean audit in the very near future.”
